Details of activities carried out:

The cadets of NCC Army Wing of Anna University attended the CATC cum IGC Firing Selection Camp conducted by 3 (TN) Bn NCC, Kanchipuram at Pachaiyappa’s college for Men in Nattapettai, Tamil Nadu. The Commandant and the Deputy Commandant of the camp was Col N. S. Mahara and Major. Mini, respectively. The camp was held between 08 April 2023 and 17 April 2023. The cadets left the NCC unit at 01.50 p.m. and reached the camp at 02.50 p.m. The first day of the Camp was occupied with the Documentation and Room Allocation works. From the second day onwards, the cadets participated in the firing selection competitions. In the firing selection, they had an opportunity to fire 20 rounds.
The camp conducted theory classes on Weapon handling, Tent Pitching, Obstacle training, Personality development, Leadership qualities and Cyber security along with ‘B’ and ‘C’ Certificate portions to the cadets. In drill classes, the cadets learned Rifle drills, DST drills and other drill procedures. In the sports period, the cadets played various games such as volleyball, ball, and kabaddi.On the final day of the camp, the cadets departed from camp site at 12.30 p.m. reached and reported to the unit by 02:00 p.m. and dispersed.
